Five Warriors in double figures lead men to win

WENATCHEE— A double-double performance from Jake Albright helped the Walla Walla Community College men’s basketball team get a 22 point victory over Northwest Athletic Conference opponent Wenatchee Valley, 84-62, here on Wednesday.

Albright finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and added five blocked shots to lead WWCC to the NWAC East victory.

David Howard scored 16 points, and Damen Thacker put up 15 points for the Warriors.

The Warriors also had some solid contributions from the bench, with Keeshawn Clarke scoring 10 points and Dillon Young dropping 12 with six rebounds.

“Wenatchee is a good team, and I thought we came in and played very well,” said Warrior coach Jeff Rienland.

“We executed well on offense and played good overall defense,” Reinland said. “They are a good scoring team, and we held them to 62 points, so I was happy with our defense. They had one guy who tore us up, but he was a very good player.

“I thought Jake Albright played really well for us; he had 21 points, but they were very hard earned,” said Reinland.

Mailk Parsons finished with a game high 29 points for the Knights.

The Warriors will look for their third straight win as they will be on the road against a tough North Idaho team on Saturday with tip-off at 4 p.m.
