Men’s hoops drops Alumni 114-90

The WWCC men’s basketball team handled their alumni 114-90, on Saturday evening.

The Warriors fell to the Gonzaga club team, 82-76, on Friday.

Against the alums, Walla Walla canned 21 from downtown while the alumni nailed 17 of their own.

Payton Radliff led the way for the Warrios with 31 points, Gabe Porter poured in 27, and Mitch Mueller added 19.

“Our three freshmen guards (Radliff, Porter, Mueller) really played better than last night and shot the ball well,” WWCC Head Coach Jeff Reinland said. “There is a lot of promise there. Hopefully, they can grow up quickly.”

Porter hit 7 of 13 from downtown against the Gonzaga club team, as he poured in a game high 31 points.

“We showed a lot of nervousness and jitter Friday,” Reinland said. “They’re (Gonzaga club) a good team too. They brought 16 players with a couple of them being 6-foot 8.”

The only other Warrior to score in double-figures was Jeff Hahn with 12 points.
