BELLEVUE — Walla Walla Community College’s men’s basketball team got a game-high 21 points from Devan Kohn here Saturday night in a 76-72 victory over Highline during session two of the Bulldog Classic.
The Warriors will play host Bellevue for the Classic championship.
BCC earned its berth in the title match with a 79-72 win over Chemeketa late Saturday.
On Friday, WWCC downed Shoreline, 81-58, in its Classic opener.
“We were overmatched inside,” Walla Walla coach Jeff Reinland said after Saturday’s triumph. “They (Highline) went 6-9, 6-7, 6-7. They are very talented.
“We came out pretty well,” Reinland said. “We got up 10, then 13. But they came back and cut it to one. Jarid Downey hit two big 3s in the final minute-and-a-half.”
Roman McKnight added 15 points for the Warriors. He also contributed nine rebounds.
