SPOKANE — Spokane Community College pulled into a tie with Walla Walla Community College at the top of the East Region NWAC men’s soccer standings in men’s soccer action here Saturday night. The Sasquatch scored early and often to down the Warriors 5-0.
Spokane’s Jonathan Cortez scored three minutes into the game and the Sasquatch never looked back. Eric Sanchez-Flores finished a four goal first half for Spokane in the 42nd minute and Cortez finished the scoring in the 71st minute with his second goal of the night to run the final to 5-0.
Kelvin Alvarez posted the shutout in goal for Spokane and recorded three saves.
Walla Walla drops to 2-1-0 in the East and Spokane improves to 2-1-0 to tie for first in the East.
