Warrior men take 4-0 soccer loss to first-place Sasquatch

SPOKANE — On the defensive all night, Walla Walla Community College took only one shot on goal and left with a 4-0 loss to first-place Spokane in Northwest Athletic Conference men’s soccer action here on Wednesday.

The Warriors (10-4-0 overall, 7-3-0 in the East) had won their last five matches in a row, but missed a chance to climb up regional standings with second-place Columbia Basin (7-2-1) already having lost at North Idaho earlier in the afternoon.

Still in third place, Walla Walla stays home for its next match, and host North Idaho (5-3-2 in the league) on Saturday.

Spokane jumped on the Warriors, taking a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute here as the Sasquatch ripped off five shots in the first half, but they failed to score again before the break.

The second half was another story as Spokane exploded for three goals in less than 10 minutes midway through the period.
