Ten Warrior softball players earn post-season honors

The Warriors softball team was honored with ten players being named to various post-season accolades this past week. WWCC ended the season with a 29-20 overall record. They finished in 2nd place in the East Region and made an appearance in the NWAC Championship Tournament.

Mikayla Faulkner and Anna Williams were named to the East Region first team as infielders, Erin Ware was a first team outfielder, and Jacie McDaniels was first team utility player. Mallory Chavez was named second team pitcher and Mackenzie Watts was a second team outfielder.

Six Warriors were named to the All-Academic team. Miranda Beuke, Kelsey Butterfield, Alexa Lindgren, and Carli Taylor were honored as were Chavez and McDaniels. To be named to the All-Academic team you must be a sophomore in eligibility, have earned at least 36 credits, and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25.
