COUER D’ALENE — Walla Walla Community College plated a run in the top of the seventh inning and grabbed a 10-9 softball win over North Idaho here on Sunday.
The Warriors rode a five-run fifth inning, while the Cardinals scored three in both the third and fifth, as the teams were tied at 9-all going to the seventh.
In the decisive seventh, WWCC’s Mikayla Faulkner made it to first base on an error, and scored on Jacie McDaniels’ double.
The Cardinals put two runners aboard in their seventh, but the Warriors closed out the victory.
WWCC, now 9-5 in NWAC East play, 11-13 overall, next hosts Treasure Valley on Friday.
