WENATCHEE — Walla Walla Community College’s softball team dropped a pair of Northwest Athletic Conference Eastern Region softball games to powerhouse Wenatchee Valley on Saturday.
The Knights flexed their offensive muscle throughout the day. They banged out 20 hits during a 17-2 victory in the opener and socked 18 more in a 16-4, game-two romp.
The Warriors’ Baily Bennett and Cheyenne Kessler had two hits apiece in each game for the Warriors, who slipped to 8-14 in league and 14-26 overall.
Second-place WVC, which has won eight of its last 10 games, improved to 19-6 and 29-11.
WWCC hosts Big bend for a league doubleheader Tuesday at 2 p.m.
