Late Equalizer Salvages Draw for Warrior Men's Soccer
Wenatchee, WA - The Warrior Men's Soccer team was tested on the road, but found a way to fight back and earn the draw against Wenatchee Valley last Saturday. Now coming off of back to back ties, Walla Walla stands at 5-4-3 overall and 3-1-3 in NWAC East play. With three games left, two of them on the road away from friendly confines, WWCC will be looking to find a way to improve upon their road record which currently holds at 1-1-3.
Throughout the match, both teams found themselves with numerous attacking opportunities as both sides combined for 35 total shots. However, the score would remain low until the very end with both teams earning a crucial point. Wenatchee Valley was able to strike first in the match as the Knights put a ball in the back of the net in the 18th minute of action. This goal would remain the lone goal for the majority of the match until the 89th minute when Cesar Martinez delivered the strike off of an assist from Adrian Arangure that would help the Warriors equalize the score and walk away with a last-second draw. For Martinez, it was only his second goal on the season for Walla Walla! With the assist, Arangure moved into solo second place on the team in assists with three.

The Warriors head out on the road looking for their second road win of the season on Wednesday to face Treasure Valley in Ontario, OR. On Saturday, Walla Walla will take the home pitch for the final time in the regular season against Spokane. Saturday's Sophomore Night match will kickoff at 12:00 PM.
