Coach Hazeltine, 3 Warriors Earn All-East Region Honors for WWCC Women's Basketball
Walla Walla, WA - The NWAC released their 2026 All-Region awards and three Warriors, as well as Head Coach, Bobbi Hazeltine, received recognition for the East region! The awards are voted on by coaches from each of the regions.
East Region Most Valuable Player and Freshman of the Year: Logan Sailors (Freshman, Rocky Mountain HS)
Logan Sailors received top honors in the NWAC East, earning the title of both Most Valuable Player and Freshman of the Year! She has started all 29 of the Warriors' games so far this season and is averaging 16.5 points per game with her big game of the year so far being a 35-point effort in a 20-point victory over Yakima Valley on February 14. Sailors is currently shooting 40.6% from the field, including 35.9% from 3-point range, on the season while also averaging 5.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
East Region First Team: Hadley Fraas (Sophomore, Cole Valley Christian HS)
Fraas has had an extremely strong sophomore campaign and was recognized as a member of the NWAC East First Team! The sophomore also started all 29 games for WWCC, averaging 31.1 minutes per game. She has shot 44.4% from the field and averaged 12.8 points per game while also collecting 8.6 rebounds per game. She has had 17 games where she has scored 10+ points and 11 games where she tallied 10+ rebounds.
East Region All Defensive Team: Averee Osterhout (Sophomore, Rocky Mountain HS)
Osterhout has brought a spark to the Warriors' great defensive year and earned honors as a member of the NWAC East All Defensive Team. The sophomore has started all 29 games for Walla Walla, averaging 32.9 minutes per game. Heading into the NWAC Tournament, Osterhout is averaging 3.5 rebounds per game and has also tallied 41 steals and 5 blocks so far this season as a member of a WWCC defense that has held opponents to 50.1 points per game on 30.4% shooting.
East Region Coach of the Year: Bobbi Hazeltine (27th Season)
Coach Hazeltine was once again recognized as the NWAC East Coach of the Year! In her 27th season, she led the Warriors to their 24th NWAC Tournament Appearance and 12th NWAC East Regular Season Championship. This is the 6th NWAC East Title in the last 10 years for Coach Hazeltine and the Warriors. Hazeltine and the Warriors will look to defend their 2025 NWAC Tournament Championship when this year's tournament gets underway on Saturday in Pasco, WA.
