Warrior Women Rebound, Hacker earns 100th victory in Wednesday Win
Yakima, WA - The Walla Walla Community College Women's Soccer team took to the road on Wednesday to try to bounce back in NWAC East play after dropping their in-region opener Saturday against Columbia Basin. Not only did they rebound, but they did so in strong fashion earning a milestone victory for head coach Jordan Hacker who saw his career win total climb to 100! In Hacker's nine seasons at the helm of WWCC soccer, he now holds a career record of 100-38-28 and moves into second place in wins all-time as head coach for Warrior Women's Soccer.
Walla Walla got the scoring going in the first half as Naomi Redd was able to bury a shot in the 27th minute and give the Warriors the lead. However, the back and forth battle between Walla Walla and Yakima Valley would be fierce and last the whole match with the Yaks finding the equalizer in the 38th minute. With the score tied 1-1 at the half, the teams continued the tight contest early in the second half until Josie Jamieson took over, scoring in the 71st minute to push Walla Walla ahead 2-1. Jamieson wasn't satisfied and just a few minutes later netted another goal for good measure, her third on the season, solidifying the 3-1 Warrior victory!
