Warrior Women's Soccer Routs Wenatchee Valley on the Road
Wenatchee, WA - Saturday's match was a display of nothing short of domination for the Warriors as they took to the road to face Wenatchee Valley College. Walla Walla scored five first half goals en route to an 8-0 victory over the host Knights, their biggest margin of victory on the season. With the win, WWCC improves their overall record to 8-3-4 and sits in 3rd place in NWAC East standings with three matches remaining in the regular season.
Following a highly involved effort in the Warriors' offensive attack last match, Karen Villegas picked up right where she left off, finding the back of the net in the first minute of play to give Walla Walla the 1-0 lead. Villegas would join Tessa Halfmoon as the two Warriors to score twice in the match. Soleil Hoeffer, Isabelle Marshall, Morgan Santos, and Jaden Ryan also all made their way onto the scoring sheet, contributing to a WWCC attack that registered 31 total shots and 11 shots on goal. The offense wasn't the only aspect of the Walla Walla game that showed up in full force, as defensively the Warriors would only concede 2 total shots and no corner kick opportunities to the Knights in the match.
