Warrior Women's Soccer Sees Season End in Loss to Umpqua
Roseburg, OR - For the second year in a row, the WWCC Women's Soccer team qualified for the NWAC Women's Soccer Championships. However, a first round 1-0 loss to Umpqua on the road ended the Warriors' hopes at a deep playoff run. With the loss, the season comes to a close with WWCC finishing 10-5-4 overall and 7-4-1 in NWAC East competition.
Throughout the match, the Walla Walla attack was consistently strong as the Warriors would wind up putting 9 shots on net in total. However, the Umpqua goalkeeper would keep the ball out of the net and hold WWCC scoreless. On the defensive end, only 5 total shots on goal were conceded by Jordan Hacker's team, but a lone goal in the 26th minute of action would ultimately be the decider.
The Warriors will now look to begin their training and preparation for the 2026 season where they will look to qualify for the NWAC Championships for the third year in a row.
