Warriors Volleyball Ready for Action at Highline Crossover
Walla Walla, WA - After a busy preseason in the month of August, the Walla Walla Community College Volleyball team has one final tune-up before NWAC East action begins on September 19th. The Warriors, who currently sit at 5-3 overall on the season, opened up their year traveling to Big Bend for a tournament where they walked away with two wins and two losses. Both wins came in straight sets, the first over host Big Bend before also defeating Wenatchee Valley. A tough five set loss to Skagit Valley in the final match of the weekend resulted in a 2-2 record for the tournament.
The Warriors women then played host to seven other NWAC schools for their own tournament hosted at the Dietrich Dome on the campus of Walla Walla Community College. Walla Walla was dominant, earning three more wins over Umpqua, Lane, and Chemeketa, all in straight sets. Their lone loss came at the hands of Green River College who was able to win the fourth and fifth sets to take the match.
