Warrior Volleyball Looking to Get Back on Track This Week
Walla Walla, WA - The Warrior Women's Volleyball team knew that last week was going to be a tough stretch, and it proved to be exactly that. Facing the top two teams in the NWAC East, Treasure Valley on Wednesday, and Yakima Valley on Friday, Walla Walla suffered two losses both in straight sets to their opposition. Treasure Valley, who are now 11-0 in East Region play officially locked up their spot in the 2025 NWAC Volleyball Playoffs, and Yakima Valley is close to doing the same with an East Region record of 9-1. For WWCC, they now stand at 12-10 overall on the season and 5-5 in NWAC East play. However, the Warriors have plenty of opportunity to solidify a spot in the postseason themselves with three of their final four regular season matches remaining coming against teams currently behind them in the standings.
What's next?
The Warriors play host to the Timberwolves of Blue Mountain Community College tonight (10/29) for a match that is scheduled to get going at 6:00 PM. On Friday, they will hit the road north to take on Wenatchee Valley College. Earlier this season, the Warriors defeated both teams in straight sets during the first half of NWAC East action.
