Warrior Volleyball Playoff Run Falls Short with Loss to Rogue
Pasco, WA - A memorable season for the Walla Walla Community College Women's Volleyball team came to an end on Saturday as the Warriors fell in straight sets to Rogue Community College in the Elite Eight round of the 2025 NWAC Volleyball Championships. This was the first time that WWCC found themselves playing volleyball in the final weekend of the NWAC season since 2018. With the loss, the Warriors conclude their season with an overall record of 18-12.
Throughout the match, Walla Walla struggled to get things going at the net, finishing with a .015 team hitting percentage, the lowest of any match all season and well below their match average of .144. Bethany Phillips and Natalie Evers set the pace for the Warriors' attack, each finishing with eight kills in the contest. Kennedy Coleman was one of the bright spots statistically for WWCC, finishing with nineteen digs and three service aces to lead Walla Walla in those categories.
The Warriors will now rest up and shift their focus to their offseason training, looking to build on their solid year with a high number of impact returners set to suit up in black and gold next fall.
On Sunday, familiar East Region foe, Treasure Valley, defeated Bellevue in five sets to claim the 2025 NWAC Championship. The Chukars finished the season 32-4 overall, including an impressive 11-1 record at home and 12-0 record in neutral site games.
