Schwager named NWAC Setter of the Week

Warrior sophomore Abbey Schwager has been named the NWAC Setter of the Week for Week 8. This is the first time she has been named NWAC Setter of the Week and the second time she has been named East Region Setter of the Week.

Warrior sophomore Kacey Halbert was also honored as she was named East Region Defensive Player of the Week. This is her fourth time winning the honor.

WWCC went 3-0 last week as they beat Yakima Valley and Treasure Valley in straight sets, before beating #2 ranked North Idaho 3-1. Schwager had 35 assists against both Yakima Valley and Treasure Valley and then 34 assists versus North Idaho. Halbert recorded dig totals of 16, 26, and 24 against those opponents.

Walla Walla is now 27-5 overall and 8-2 in the East Region, good for 2nd place. They travel to Wenatchee Valley on Friday, October 18th at 6:00pm for their next match.
