The Walla Walla Community College volleyball team picked up back-to-back wins, beating visiting Treasure Valley Friday: 25-20, 25-8, 25-14 and traveling to Coeur d’Alene Saturday and winning 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19.
Individual leaders for the Warriors in Friday’s match were Sam Grove with 10 kills and three blocks; Lindsey Carpenter with nine kills, three blocks and nine digs; Dani Burke with 17 assists; Alexis Garrison with 10 assists; and Tori Wegdahl had 14 digs.
“After the Treasure Valley win, it felt great being 8-0 half way through (Northwest Athletic Conference) East Region play,” said WWCC coach Chelsie Speer.
Individual leaders for the Warriors in Saturday’s match were Carpenter with 14 kills and 11 digs; Morgan Ness with 11 kills and 5 blocks; Savannah Ruark with 4 blocks; Burke with 21 assists and 13 digs; Garrison with 15 assists and 6 kills; Hannah Pond with 15 digs; and Wegdahl with 17 digs.
“Traveling to NIC, we knew would be in a battle, and I’m proud of the entire team for getting a great win on the road,” Speer said.
The Warriors play again Friday and Saturday at the Lower Columbia Crossover in Longview.
