BREMERTON, Wash. — Walla Walla Community College swept Olympic but then fell to Clark in five sets in non-league volleyball actionhere on Thursday.
The Warriors (4-8 record) made short work of Olympic, finishing off the winless Rangers in only three sets (25-13, 25-23 and 25-18).
Sophomore Ashlin Orosco scored a match-high 10 kills for Walla Walla, while classmate Kindsey Carpenter and freshman Ocean Bryan each added six.
Walla Walla also had 18 assists from freshman Abbey Schwager, and classmate Emma Peterson scored three blocks.
The Warriors followed their match victory with another strong performance, but fell short against Clark (8-1 record). Both squads took turns winning sets, with the Penguins taking the finale (25-23, 23-25, 25-11, 23-25, 15-9).
Bryan scored a team-high 13 kills and Carpenter tallied 12, while Schwager made 35 assists and sophomore Hannah Pond hustled after 14 digs.
The Warriors will next play Sept. 8-9 at a tournament in Spokane.
