Walla Walla Community College fought off Spokane here Friday at the Dietrich Dome in NWAC East Region Volleyball action. The Warriors took a 3-1 win and remained perfect at 6-0 in East Region play.
The Warriors posted a 25-21 win to open play but the Sasquatch evened the match with a 25-21 second set win. The Warriors bounced back to sweep the next two sets, 25-18 and 25-21, to claim the 3-1 win.
Savannah Ruark, with 13 kills, and Lindsay Carpenter, with 12, led the Warrior hitters in the winning effort. Dani Burke and Alexis Garrison were the distributors. Burke put up 23 assists, and Garrison added 22.
On defense for the Warriors, Tori Wegdahl had 22 digs, and Hannah Pond dug 20 hits.
The Warriors, 15-6 overall, host Wenatchee Valley Wednesday at 6 in an East Region battle.
