The WWCC volleyball team challenged undefeated SpokaneĀ to five sets. but came away with a 3-2 loss here at the Dietrich Dome on Friday.
Spokane took the first two sets with scores of 27-25 and 25-22, but Walla Walla answered withback-to-back wins at 25-23 and 25-22.
The upset bid ended with Spokane winning the tiebreaker, 15-13.
Morgan Ness led the Warriors with 22 kills and 19 digs.
Emmah Peterson and Ocean Bryan each gave WWCC another 15 kills.
Kacey Halbert led the Warriors with 45 digs.
This was the Warriors first loss at home all season, and they now have an overall record 31-6 and a 12-3 mark in conference play.
WWCC next will travel to Yakima Valley on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
