PENDLETON — Northwest Athletic Conference Eastern Region-leading Walla Walla Community College suffered its first league loss of the season here Friday night.
The Warriors bowed to Blue Mountain in four games, 26-24, 25-21, 18-25, 25-22.
Savannah Ruark led WWCC with 12 kills while Lindsey Carpenter and Morgan Ness added 10 apiece.
Dani Burke paced Walla Walla with 23 assists and 16 digs. Alexis Garrison set 22 assists, and Tori Wegdahl and Carpenter followed Burke in the dig department with 13 and 12, respectively.
The Warriors are now 12-1 in league, 24-7 overall, and hold a half-match edge over second-place North Idaho (12-2, 17-12).
WWCC plays at Spokane Wednesday.
