Warrior Women Use Strong Second Half to Defeat Portland

Walla Walla, WA. – Walla Walla at the break was up by six, but once the second half started the flood gates opened for the Warriors as they soundly defeated Portland Community College 80-53.

Three players scored in double digits for the Warriors who as a team shot 50% from the field. The Warriors also did a fantastic job of getting to the free throw lane making 29 of there 38 attempts.

Sophomore Amy DeLong led the Warriors in scoring with 16 points while Paige Vincent added 11 points and MeShel Rad added 10 points. Eleven players on the roster also added points for the Warriors cause.

The victory brings the Warriors record to 3-2.

WWCC will hit the road for their next games starting against George Fox on Friday.
