MOSES LAKE — Walla Walla Community College’s Jessica Siler went for 29 points and 18 rebounds in a 83-72 win over the Big Bend Vikings here Saturday.
“Jessica (Siler) had a big, big night,” WWCC coach Bobbi Hazeltine said. “It was a career high in both points and rebounds for her.”
WWCC’s Karli McHone added 19 points and MeShel Rad contributed 17.
As a team, the Warriors shot 93 percent from the free-throw line, 27-of-29.
WWCC also outrebounded Bend 43-27.
“The game was never out of reach for Big Bend,” Hazeltine said, “but down the stretch they fouled a lot and we were especially good at free throws. We won by 11 but it was a closer game than that.”
With the win, the Warriors clinched no less than a second seed heading into the upcoming NWAACC tournament.
WWCC will host Blue Mountain Wednesday and Columbia Basin Saturday.
