Warriors fall to North Idaho

Battling second-place North Idaho, the Walla Walla Community College women’s soccer team took 10 shots but failed to hit the back of the net on the Warriors’ Tausick Way pitch.

 

The Warriors ended up with a 4-0 loss in their NWAC East Region match here on Wednesday.

 

Third-place WWCC (6-3-0 overall, 3-2-0 in the East) saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.

The Warriors look to bounce back when they return to action Saturday at first-place Spokane (5-0-0 in the East).

 

WWCC kept pace with North Idaho early on, by halftime having limited the Cardinals to a goal in the 29th minute.

 

WWCC never scored on North Idaho as goalie Kaysha Bailey made five saves.

 

North Idaho doubled its lead in the 58th minute, added another goal six minutes later, and then another at the 88th.
