6 different Warriors score in 7-1 route

A dominating performance from the WWCC women’s soccer team helped them get a 7-1 win over the Blue Mountain Timberwolves, scoring four goals in the first half and three goals in the second.

 

Madison Brownell started the scoring early for the Warriors, scoring in the second minute of the game off an assist by Haley Wammock, who ended up with a total of three assists in the game.

 

Eleven minutes later, Ashley Conrad got on the board with a goal of her own, assisted by Haley Wammock.

Klarissa Baraja had two goals in this one, scoring in the 31st minute and 36th minute, with assists from Taylor Plata and Sally Culig.

 

At the end of the first half, the score was 4-0 Warriors.

 

Haley Wammock found Taylen Wohl for a goal at the 55 minute.

 

Blue Mountain finally got on the board at the 61st minute with a goal from Kiana Corpuz, but the Warriors came right back and got a goal from Demeree McLean — also in the 61st minute, with Hailey Hill on the assist.

 

The final goal of the game came from Caitlin Crist after a pass from Estefania Cossio in the 89th minute.

 

The Warriors moved to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

 

They will take on North Idaho at home on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
