SPOKANE — The defending NWAC women’s soccer champions kept its undefeated 2016 season alive here Saturday in NWAC East region soccer action. Spokane downed Walla Walla Community College 4-0.
The Sasquatch hit the Warriors with three first half goals, and WWCC never got untracked.
Stephanie Overland started the Spokane scoring in the 12th minute. Sydney Weller added another Sasquatch score seven minutes later and Jenna Sullens closed out the first half in the 39th minute as Spokane went to intermission up 3-0.
Sullens added her second goal of the night, and only score of the second half, in the 77th minute to complete the 4-0 Sasquatch win.
Molly Webster, in goal for Spokane, recorded the shut out. Paige Kubista, in goal for the Warriors, recorded six saves as the Warriors dropped their first East Region decision of the season.
Spokane improves to 3-0-0 in the East and 7-0-3 overall. The Warriors drop to 2-1=0 in the East and 6-2-1 overall.
The Warriors host CBC Wednesday at the Warrior pitch.
