Chelsea Marozik, Hanford HS/Richland, WA, has been a key component one of the league’s best defenses. Last week against Wenatchee Valley she had three assists while helping to limit WVC to just four shots on goal. Then against Yakima, Marozik led the back line to shut out the Yaks, earning WWCC’s NWAC leading 10th shutout of the year.
“Chelsea has taken on a leadership role this fall,” said Warrior head coach Jordan Hacker. “A returning all-star centerback, she has continued to show her intelligence in the back keeping opponents at bay for the majority of the year. She has been contributing all over the field all year long. She is our second leading goal scorer and is tied for 3rd in assists. She has a passion for the game that every coach wants. Chelsea is big reason for us only conceding four goals in 14 matches.”
