Walla Walla women crush Timberwolves, 14-0, in soccer

Walla Walla Community College unleashed an unstoppable attack here Saturday at the Tausick Way pitch in women’s NWAC soccer action. The Warriors overwhlemed Blue Mountain 14-0.

Madison Brownell got the first Warrior goal in the 13th minute. Brownell would score again in the 29th and the Warriors were off and running. Brownell and Tate Kautzky both tallied two goals in the first half as the Warriors opened a 8-0 lead at intermission.

The Warriors added six more goals in the second half to run the final to 14-0. The win runs the Warriors to 6-0-1 overall and 2-0-0 in East Region play.

Along with Brownell and Kautzky, Hailey Hill finished with two goals. Emily thornton, Dominique Velazquez, Hannah Thompson, and Paige Kubista also got into the scoring column for the Warriors.

Kubista and Danielle Dowd shred net minding duties for the Warriors and posted the shut out, but didn’t need to make a save.

The Warriors travel to Wenatchee Valley Monday.
