Jessica Garcia put Walla Walla Community College ahead with an unassisted goal midway through the second half, and the undefeated Warriors went on to pick up their ninth straight win with a 4-1 victory over Wenatchee Valley in Northwest Athletic Conference action on their Tausick Way pitch on Wednesday.
Chelsea Marozik finished the game with three assists for the Warriors (12-0-1 overall, 8-0-0 in the region) as teammates Madison Brownell, Hannah Thompson and Jaz Lemos also scored.
Walla Walla outshot Wenatchee, 29-4.
Brownell gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead at the 33rd minute, when she converted a pass from Marozik, but Wenatchee’s Gabby Flores tied things up six minutes later with an unassisted goal.
The game went to halftime even, but Walla Walla followed the break with a 3-0 run.
Garcia put the Warrior on top for good with an unassisted goal at the 67th minute, and three minutes later, Marozik helped Thompson make it a 3-1 game.
Walla Walla then pulled way as Marozik and Lemos connected at the 82nd minute.
The Warriors will next play at Yakima Valley on Saturday. The fifth-place Yaks (2-2-4 in the league) tied Columbia Basin, 1-1, on Wednesday.
